my mom has my little sisters come in and say mom says shes going to throw your spiders in the garbage(jokingly) my sister is 4 and i go well come here ill feed you to my spiders so they have a full belly when i throw them away and i go give me your hand, they freak out and it keeps them out of my room so i dont have to worry about them coming in and disturbing my T's and and snakes and stuff

I have a 4 year old niece who loves my T's she'll hold the G. rosea and the avic. but my 8 and 9 year old nephews are scared to death of them. when she gets a little older I'm gonna give her a rose hair

not sure if this is on topic, but....

My 2 year old daughter has let an a. avic s'ling crawl across her hand once or twice but my 7 year son (who started the spider craze in this house) wouldn't even consider it....on the other hand he let a full grown african mantis (nasty creature that can bite) walk up his arm. Go figure.

Well sean, you probably just made one less T collector since yiou scared your daughter half to death with the spider, you should have shown herhow gentle some spiders are and let her get to know them and love them, then your mom would be really surprised when even your sister wanted you to keep them.

But to each his own....
