Jungle Carpet Python

[Blasphemy]

Wanted to share this little guy I picked up yesterday. He's really nippy right now, as they all are when young, but hopefully with enough attention he'll calm down soon enough.

very cute...i hae a carpet as well and wow they are snippy...even with regular handly he still gets a bit of an attitude and he is well over three feet! he's also a bit of an escape artist so be careful of that one...very cute!

It may take a couple weeks to calm him down, but he'll probably be just fine as he gets older. He looks great!

It took my male IJCP when he was a baby a couple of months to settle down.

Since then the only time I"ve gotten tagged by a carpet was during feeding...homed in on my hand instead of the rat

I hate it when they miss LOL, mine is two and she cops an attitude once in a while.... I think its because she is a girl ;P She will also hunt you down if you tick her off as the second pic shows. Anyway how did you switch yours to rats? Mine hates them. Her name is Jynx BTW. Yours is going to be a pretty one thats for sure!

Maybe I just got lucky with mine.. lol.. she's a sweetie. She's never nipped at me or anything. Abbigal is a great little girl.

Awesome snakes ya'all have there i love the Sp.... i have a mature male and female here both about somewhere between 6 and 7 foot long,,, beautiful specimens... tryin to get em to breed and having a bit of luck so far.. so hopefully i'll have some babies coming up....
Only been hit once by the male, my own fault was goofin off during feeding time...wow he hits hard....

my carpet is an angel, but then shes a coastal and i know jungles can be a little nippy, how much you pay 4 him?

It's only been about 2 weeks since I've had him and already he's starting to get used to human contact...or at least the frequency of attempting to bite me has dropped which I assume is a good sign. He's taking f/t fuzzies right now which is great because the place I bought him at feeds live to all their snakes. I only paid a hundred for this little guy and because of his markings I probably would have paid twice as much.
