Jungle Carpet Python or Hogg Island Boa?

If you could only keep one or the other, which would get your pick?

If you had to choose between one or the other, which would it be and why?

Thanks,

Jon

I'd go for the JCPs...love the colors, and i'm experienced with them already. Hogg Island boas are fairly secretive are they not?

I had to go with the boa, The Carpet Python gets a lot bigger then the hogg island boa, That and I'm just a boa person. However the JCP is a nice snake.

JCP max at 6' (if much bigger they have CCP blood in them) i would go with a Hogg's isle BCI if its a first boid they tame down as well as any BC (not all CP's like to be touched) although if i was buying a BC now id hold out for a Sonoran or a Corn isle BCI, of course i would have said get a blood python but fat snakes where ruled out {D

Well, of these two, I've decided that I would rather go for the Hogg Island.

Is a 30 gallon aquarium good for an adult male Hogg Island?

be carefull where you buy the hogg islands and where they're coming from.. they been cross bred with red tails in the past for nicer colors... they are also said to be extinct in the wild, which i believe is not completely true... there are a few sources in the US i can recommend with pure blood hoggs... let me know...

illest i heard the same thing to a few years back i have a feeling its not true tho, since iv seen hog's caimed to be W/C in the last 1-2 years, a 30 gal tank maybe ok so long as its mainly floor space i would think you could get a pair or even a trio in a viv of 6'x2'x2'.

Personally JCP's actually any species of carpet python would make a good addition to any collection not that there is anything bad with hoggies just i myself prefer carpets.
