Hey all I’ve had this phidippus Regis for about a month, I snatched her from the hood of my car. I’ve got her in a tarantula crib and she built a nest a few weeks ago and laid an egg sac in it. When she left the nest i separated her from it. Seems like they’re about to hatch which I’ve gotten supplies to raise them with but I’m not sure if I should let them come out of the nest themselves or let mom help? I really don’t want to destroy the nest to get to them if unecessary, any tips or advice on how to relocate them when they hatch (from someone who’s been through this preferably) would be much appreciated thx! :)

Let them come out on their own. The female abandons the nest after a short period. We have had 3 egg sacks. 2 have already hatch and 1 still inside. Use a sewing needle to create airholes. These guys and gals can slip through some really small spaces so make sure the lid is tight. I turned a tall cereal container from the dollor store upside down and made a holding receptacle. Made an inch size hole to make a sponge drop. For fruitflys. I mist mine once a week if I feel it's to dry and feed twice. They grow fast just don't let them get cold. Also they love light.looking at your pictures, they will crawl right out of those holes. If you wanna move the nest ( if you trust yourself) use a flat Razor and go behind the webbing and start pulling the nest away. The web is strong so it'll stay in place.

You want them in the most isolated you can have them. It's best for a bare enclosure with just the essentials. Your humidity choice and I put small plants to help them web up. dont let them explode in the the tank cause they never get all of them.

Thank you for the informative answer! I have taped those holes off so they can’t get out and I have some deli cups on the way to separate and feed them!

I used mesh to block off holes to avoid sticky adhesive
