I found a jumping spider in front of my house, it was moving like super slow so I brought it inside. It stopped moving for awhile but today it started moving a little bit but it's movements are really strange. It's back leg is lifted up and it hasn't put it down. Jumping spiders here are also usually very active and almost remind me of house flies with the way they move. Idk what to do something seems wrong with it, any suggestions?

Every so often the spider moves all it's legs but otherwise it hasn't actually walked. Idk what to do about it. I tried giving it sugar water, it looks relatively healthy I feel so bad for the spider 🙁

Doesn’t look good. Poor spider..😢
Yeah it looks like it's in a very late stage of dks, it hardly moves or it could be dying of old age and I just so happened to find it near it's last days. Whatever it may be, the spider is shutting down. I thought it was dead yesterday but it litterally was webbing when I was trying to move it around, it also clung to the q-tip I put sugar water on. I hope maybe the spider at least liked that, or felt a little more relaxed. It's really sad to see a jumping spider in this condition, they are so interesting I love how unlike other spiders they will turn their heads to look around at things because they can see better. I find it funny when they stare at me 😭 they look startled but curious at the same time. This one hasn't really moved it's head at all, he barely moves his pedipalps.

DKS is caused by toxins we believe- jumper does not display it.

Never ever seen a jumper NOT move regardless of how large the object is. But there’s always exceptions- return it to wild

Traumatic injury? I feel like I've seen instances here where the legs were stuck in the air (tarantulas though).
