Ive owned another jumping spiders previously, he lived a long life and only just recently died. The enclosure I have for my regius now is about 10x5x10 so its a little taller than normal.
I have their tank up on a shelf thats a little higher up than my other ones and one night i was taking her tank down to feed her and i guess because she is a bit older that she didnt have a good grip and fell as i was picking up the tank. Usually with my audax he would hold on or maybe fall but he would be just startled or slightly stunned. This time my regius, she was flailing on her back franticly. For awhile she was hanging on the the edge of the glass instead of going back up to her hammock so i left her alone for awhile and she didnt move much apart from at night and even then she would move about an inch, now shes just hanging out on a rock at the bottom of the tank for the last couple of days. Ive made sure to spray her tank throughout this time incase she might be dehydrated but now everytime i spray the tank she francily runs away before going back to sitting as still as a rock. I make sure i dont spray her directly and i have a mister spray bottle so I'm not sure entirely what the cause would be. I threw a cricket in there and shes seen it but kinda just ignores it. She had started to curl this morning and i gave her a thorough watering with a pipette and she seemed to still be a bit freaked out but not running around everywhere.
Would really appreciate advice, I've tried to do research and the only thing i could maybe find was a thread on here.
