Hi! I am rather new here, and this is my second post, so if I do something wrong pls tell me!
I love jumping spiders. I mean, A lot. Just look at my profile name! But I haven't really had anything exactly like this happen before, so I wanted to see if there is anything I can do. I have a very large Bold Jumping Spider, and have had him since this spring. I caught it when it was a spiderling in spring/summer, and it had so far done fine. It made a nice web hammock, and immediately took to eating mealworms, crickets, and small grasshoppers. But about two weeks ago, it stopped eating. It still drinks water sprayed onto a corner of the cage, and wanders around the enclosure. All of my jumpers have always eaten rather regularly, so I am rather complexed.

Could be getting ready to molt, or it could be responding to the changing weather when they naturally become less active and don't eat much. As long as it's still drinking and behaving normally otherwise, there's not much you can do or need to worry about. They can go several months without eating, so try not offering any food for a week or 2 then see if it'll take it's favorite prey item.

There is a heating pad on the side though. It is for a different terrarium but since I had the enclosures right next to each other I was like 'why not?'. He goes over there sometimes to warm up.
