what do you mean with not moving?

just sitting there or lying on the ground dead?

well, thats clear then

what can you tell us about the spider, how big was it? Adult or spiderling? Was it fat or thin?
How did you keep it?
What do you keep it in?
Ventilation?
Any recent changes? Did you spray water on the spider or into the enclosure?
Did it eat the fly? or only try to?
Where did you get the maggot? What did the maggot eat previously? Wild or bought?
etc.

All these or more may need to be answered if you want to figure out what killed her. You know these things but how are we supposed to guess the right answer without that information. I assume she is dead, legs curled inwards. no way she is laying on her back otherwise.

A picture may provide most of the answers.

Ouf.

I mean, in general, upside down is a molt for tarantulas…

So many things could be in question here…

wild caught spider?

wild caught prey?

enclosure looks like what?

age of spider?

if this is a wild spider you caught outside, dont beat yourself over it. It was a question of time.

need to be careful when feeding anything caught in the wild. hopefully not contaminated with pesticides being sprayed in the surrounding countryside.
