I observed this behavior in a group of Phippidus audax that I adopted from a breeder.

Out of a group of 4, only 1 displayed this behavior.

I thought it was really interesting. Like how some individual Tarantulas will "redecorate and clean" around their enclosures, it would appear Phippidus jumpers have this trait as well.

Another thing to note: the 3 that are unhygienic and lazy slobs are also reclusive and skittish. The one who cleans up his room, is curious and calm.

Not sure if this implies anything, but I noticed it.

Sounds like humans. Maybe you have found a new way to sex immature slings? A housekeeper and three beer and boob tubers.

I'm gonna have to see if it turns out that way...

There will be a lot of social flak if the clean and neat one is a female. I might have to bury my findings lest I get cancelled by the mob.

The detractors can take a flying leap through a flaming rolling donut. Females tend to be more detail oriented and meticulous when it comes to their living space. Not rocket science. That's been tested and established dozens of times over centuries.
On the ambulance and fire lines I tried to choose a female partner every time. They are a little more methodical and level headed ignoring the chaos. I'll grab the overall picture and she takes in the details. Ignore the mangled wreck and the ways to perform an extrication, she'll go in through a broken window and stabilize the patient leaving me the grunt and support work. Had that exact scenario four times that I can recall.
Most obvious was when a call comes in. Red light fever grabs the male, adrenaline pumping and go go go. The female is going over the unit making sure all the gear is present and ready.
