About a month ago I got my first regal jumping spider. I believe she is a sub-adult. She eats regularly and from what I can tell her behavior is normal but she has yet to make a hammock. She has one corner of the enclosure where she usually spends the night behind her hide and there is a thin layer of webbing in that area but very little that actually extends off the wall.

When I got her she didn't have any nest in the temporary container she was in either (all of the other spiders at the store did) but I had figured that maybe she'd built it on the lid and it got dislodged at some point. Is it possible that she just doesn't make dense nests and this is normal for her or should I be concerned? She only has 7 legs which makes me wonder if she's had an improper molt before so I worry that if she doesn't build a nest before molting she'll have more issues.

Don't worry about it. Some don't even make nests until they need to molt, and then will spin one overnight. The very rare one won't even use a nest, and will consider the safety of the enclosure walls to be its nest.
