i have had my regal jumping spider for a few months (i don’t exactly remember the date i got her) but she wasn’t a sling, i think she was still young because she was small but not that small. she has moulted 3-4 times for the time i’ve had her but i’m still convinced she should’ve still be moulting and getting bigger since she was only about the size of my thumb nail.
yesterday i found her on the ground of the enclosure, not in a death curl but also not moving at all when gently blown on. she was not stiff either though, so she could’ve been moulting although for some reason she hadn’t made a little web hammock that she made every single time she moulted beforehand.
i decided to leave her overnight to see if she would be in a better condition the day after (today) and unfortunately i found her yet again not moving, this time being bitten on the leg by a cricket she was supposed to eat. she still had no movements at all.. after seeing the cricket i panicked and removed the spider from the enclosure to somehow examine her (which now i’m regretting because what if i just made it worse myself) and it seems as if she was moulting since a small part of one of her legs looked like like a moult or something. i noticed that her abdomen had a dent in it but i did not see this when she was completely fine and walking.
this is my first jumping spider so i don’t know if i’ve done anything wrong on my behalf. she still has not got her legs in a death curl but isn’t reacting to anything and isn’t moving even in the slightest. she is soft so i’m scared i ruined her process of moulting and made matters worse. please give me advice!!

The prey was not eaten/removed so the cricket was able to eat the jumper. If prey isn't eaten within a day, it needs to be removed. The spider sounds like it may have been dehydrated as well, due to the size you describe it doesn't sound like an old spider.

Use this as a learning experience and do not beat yourself up about it! Mistakes happen.

First off I am sorry for your loss if there is no movement and the abdomen is dented then I don't think little one is with you any more.
Secondly spiders don't always get a death curl I have had true spiders and t's that have passed laid out flat . I also don't think your spider would of been moulting on the floor jumping spiders don't do that or in my experience they don't.
There could be 100 reasons for your spider passing unfortunately it's one of the parts of keeping sometimes even despite the best care spiders die. We can't see what going on and they can't tell us and unfortunately they often don't show signs of anything being wrong till its to late.
As mentioned above try not to get discouraged, and hopefully next time you will have better luck.
Also always remove food if not eaten. As you saw they will try to eat your spider if not monitored carefully.
Again I am sorry for your loss.

Welcome Friend, :)
Jumping Spiders are Short Lived to begin with.
Any number of things could have contributed to Your Spiders Demise.
Try not to Blame Yourself this Common Occurrence.
When You Feel Ready, Give it another Go.
Keep Look'n Up  Better Luck Next Time
Best Regards,
