Hello! I acquired my first lil jumping spider, (first spider), on Thursday. It arrived in a little cup that had fruit flies in it so it had been fed and I think molted once in there. It ate two fruit flies in it’s new enclosure on Friday and I intend to try and feed it again on Monday. However! It discovered it can hide in between the folds of a plastic flower that’s glued to the corner of the enclosure and it just won’t come out. And yes it’s still in there I checked. The room temp has been from 68-80 through the day, plenty of light is provided and I mist the enclosure once to twice a day (Colorado is so dry!). Is it possible it could molt in there? If so I don’t want to disturb it. I’m just worried since I can’t see it 😵💫

That's just probably where it feels most comfortable while it adjusts to its new place. It will probably make its hammock in there. My putnami loved making hers in between two artificial leaves in her enclosure when she was a juvenile. She has become too big to stay between her leaves and has had to move up to a different hideaway since she became an adult. lol
