Found this little guy up in the mountains when we were camping, and I'd like get an ID if possible. It is currently around 1/4 of an inch, and I'm located in Socal.

For sure in the Phidippus genus. Compare to this juvenile audax.

Phidippus californicus might be it. They get more orange as adults though. I’m not an expert and there isn’t any pics of slings but some pics look similar and it’s also in SoCal.

What do you guys think about P comatus? It looks pretty similar, but the suggestions that you guys gave are pretty close too.
