Hello
My tarantula (species and gender unknown) Clarisse cannot walk or even stand because several "ankle" joints are not providing support or stability causing the Tarsus to bend at angles that look to appear that her foot is broken. This tarantula has the longest legs I've ever seen and I don't even know if this is natural for this species of tarantula to have such long legs. I know she looks horrible in the pictures so please don't judge, one PXL_20240920_062154653.PORTRAIT.jpg PXL_20240920_062209835.PORTRAIT.jpg PXL_20240920_062217287.PORTRAIT.jpg leg started leaking so I had to put cornstarch on the injured area and things just got really messy. Please see pictures for reference as to the Tarsus problem. Thank you

What’s the question? And what’s the white stuff on it?

That’s a mature male, I believe Phormictopus species but could be a Pamphobeteus. The dark abdomen on a mature male indicates the end is near. Try to hydrate it; but there’s nothing else you can really do. Good luck

If you looked under the pictures the sentence was continued. It's cornstarch. Several joints were leaking the blood.
And well the question is why can't he stand or walk without his feet bending like they are broken. Doesn't that look weird to you in the picture? The feet (tarsus) are at a 90° angle.
Agreed- only thing that reminds me of
Thank you for the species ID & clarification on the gender. Lumii_20240921_235636442.jpg Today he seems to be doing much better I have just kept him in his IC container and he's been kept hydrated and he's even eating a superworm now. Here's his recent picture

He still has a little cornstarch left but overall I think he's looking much healthier. :)

Thank you today he's looking much better. I'm not sure how he managed to break his ankles. He's definitely not the friendliest of tarantulas so I don't usually handle him or let him roam around the apartment like I do with the other tarantulas so I just don't know how he could have broken his ankles but it's neither here nor there. Clarisse is now Clarensse.

I feel for Clarisse's situation.
Thanks for taking good care of Him.
Keep up the good work.

At this point you did nothing wrong. It was at the end of its road.
