Look for Phormictopus genus pictures. You can also make your own pic thread with multiple species on it at once. Excellent species keep Sharing!!!😍

I'm assuming that cost an arm and a leg...

Many people on these forums will tell you that handling is ill advised. Tarantulas are essentially water balloons with legs. It would be a shame if it jumped from your hand and exploded like one. I carry no judgement, though I urge you to consider the safety of your spider over the entertainment value handling provides you the owner. I mean no disrespect, I just know that if I had such a hard to come by spider, I would treat it like a glass sculpture.

Very nice looking T for sure though. I hope they bring you years of good times.

Thanks for the suggestion! She’s one of my favorite T’s, always on display and does the best happy dance. She has an amazing feeding response as well. I can’t wait to see her adult coloring come in.

Thank you for the advice! I’ve only handled “her” twice but will definitely keep that in mind. I actually won her last winter! She’s definitely a favorite of mine.

That is awesome. I would flip out if I got a free T seladonia. Just wanted to caution you, Idk where you are at with your T keeping. There are a lot of people who join the forums just to post themselves holding a tarantula for the views with little regard for their spider pals. Keep at it and let us know how, hopefully she, progresses.

That’s definitely not me. I absolutely love my T’s and jumpers. I started keeping T’s a year and a half ago after keeping and breeding jumpers for several years. I’m also a biologist. I’m in it for the long haul! My little seladonia actually just kicked out what will be her fifth molt with me tonight!

Sericopelma sp. santa catalina girl getting rehoused today, and she is 🔥!! Love watching her grow.

Birupes simoraxigorum juvie showing first blue after molting last week! Not the best picture but it was dark and I didn’t want to startle them. This is Bluey. 💙
