I noticed that there is a jelly-like layer on the water dish of my G. Pulchra sling.
The water was added yesterday. I did not clean the dish though. Can any one think of any reason for the jelly-like layer on the water dish?
Thank you...

Standing water will usually become covered with a bio-film like the one you describe.

I prefer to let it stand. Once I went into my kitchen after not doing my dishes for a month to find the swamp things arm reaching out of my sink.

If you can recreate this in your T's enclosure, imagine the hours of entertainment you, your T, and your swamp-thing can enjoy together.

Try adding spaghetti sauce, beer caps, warm flat soda, and rancid hamburger meat.

It's disgusting and dirty
The sponge on the drainer
Is stinky and squirty
If you squeeze it when you wipe up
What you get on your hands then
Could un-balance your glands and
Make you blind or whatever
In the dangerous kitchen
At my house tonight

sometimes i find films on the water dishes even tho changed and washed daily.... then i found the cause .... my T's kinda "brush their teeth" (lol) after eating and it looked like some were almost vomiting the waste from their mouths into the water dish .... my A genic's water after a meal always ends up milky with a film on the surface... some also have a nasty habit of using the water dish as a toilet lol
