I found a tiny Sphinx caterpillar on my driveway. It didn't take long for it to turn into a tiny Sphinx moth. What sp is this? Anybody know? (c tx)

Well thanks for bumping it up, I'm really curious about it. I've been wondering what kind of plant the caterpillar was eating.

Ha, sorry, I meant that I would like to know what kind of plant the caterpillar eats. I didn't see what plant it was feeding on, so I don't even know that:? Thanks allot! It sure is a little Sphinx. I didn't think there was a sp so small.

I just researched those you mentioned but, I don't think so. The caterpiller doesn't match at all IMO. And the wingspan on this thing is less than 2 inches. I emailed Bill Oehlke with some pics, maybe he knows. Also sent some pics to "whatsthatbug" ...something like that. It's got me stumped.

Got a reply back from Bill O. It's Sphinx dollii (Doll's Sphinx). Host plant is juniper, allot of that around here.
