I am however most decidedly NOT saying Hallelujah. :wall:

Poke (G aureostriata ~2") got rehoused yesterday and Webbigail (C cyaneopubsecens ~3") shed today so I managed to get my hands on their most recent molts... and I'm 95% sure that both are male (Poke is a touch small to be absolutely sure).

This puts me at five males, one female (who I knew was female when I bought her) and six unknowns (three of which may be sex-able after their next molt, two which I expect to be very soon).

I don't think I can watch any more males do the same long slow decline as my current boys, not without at least knowing I gave them a shot at genetic immortality, so as much as I'm still uncomfortable with shipping, anyone else that matures out male is getting sent off wookin pa nub.

Well, I suppose it's not all bad news...

Poke (aureostriata) shed last Monday, Webbigail (the GBB gonna have to figure out a new name there) shed yesterday, and Dozer my new genic apparently shed today! She's kind of burrowed in currently, but she seriously looks like she doubled in size.

It looks like Ripley (T sp Burgundy) is gearing up for it too, maybe even tonight as she's moved more today then I think she has in a month and I can see the the black right through her abdominal skin.

I'm sorry to hear it, but male streaks do happen. Its okay though, cause female streaks happen too. Just keep your fingers crossed for a female streak next!

I'm desperately hoping the genic has kicked yesterday's exuvium out of its burrow as I think it's probably just big enough to sex.

I just got that genic to replace one that went MM last spring, so I'll be really bummed if this one's a boy.

Edit: Woohoo! Dozer is a girl!

Congrats on the girl:) I've had my own male streak before so I know how you feel.
I did finally luck out and have almost all my brachy's end up being female, I do have one male and one unsexed at the present.
My little burgundy just molted last week, man is she growing fast. Two molts since Sep and almost a inch of growth. I'm really hoping it's a girl, just because I want her around for a long time.
Oh, don't give up on the GBB yet, mine looked male for a long time but finally I was able to see the flap:)

It's really hard when you're caring for three failing males at one time to have to think of my fat little babies eventually getting that way. I'm really hoping you're right on the GBB, the amount of work it took to finally see the flap on my genic gives me a bit of hope.

This Burgundy is driving me crazy with this premolt, the way she looks I keep expect her to flip any minute! She's not doing the tilty butt thing yet though so it'll probably be at least another night.

Edit: or I could find her on her back at 7:30 the next morning :D Today at work is going to be nerve wracking!

At least I know with several of the sp I have now there is likely to be a demand for males if that time comes. Sending out an avic avic for breeding purposes doesn't have quite the feeling of satisfaction of sending out something like a pulchra. Forwarding the hobby and all that. :)
