I have had FIVE molts within the last TEN days!

Four of them were within the last four.
It's not like I have a monster collection either... I have 12 Ts so this is 40 percent of my collection! It's also not like they were on any sort of feeding cycle as three of them were fairly recent acquisitions and I think two have been refusing food since before I even had the other three.

3-2 Poke: G. aureostriata (premolt size 1.75" almost certainly male)
3-10 Webbs: C cyaneopubescens (premolt size 2.5" almost certainly male) :(
3-12 Dozer: A. genic (premolt size 2.25" female) {D
3-12 unnamed: G. pulchra (premolt size 1.12" too early to tell)
3-13 Ripley: T. sp "Burgundy" (premolt size 2.37" almost certainly male) :(

Unsurprisingly the GBB, the genic, and the burgundy gained the most size, all seem to be getting towards 3 inches but everyone's still a bit traumatized so no firm postmolt measurements yet.

Everyone's so blue-grey and leggy and preening like no tomorrow!

Sadly however my camera has pretty much bit the big one.

Yep with the warm weather all my T's have been molting, I think I've had about 11 in the past 2 weeks, probably a few more coming up soon. My little P. regalis just finished molting a few minutes ago!

Well we just came off of a full moon I think... ;) I have around 80 tarantulas and there always seems to be molts in spurts. It is nice to have so many molts when you have as many spiders as you do. There is almost always something molting around here. Then there are some that never seem to molt like my big Euathlus sp. girl. I have been waiting a little over a year now I think.

The spurts are really cool while they're happening, but I've had mostly adults for a while so it tends to make the rest of the year kind of unexciting. Luckily I have a couple of really little ones now, or I know I'd be waiting forever for anything to happen.

I'm actually wondering a little bit if my rosea is going to shed too since she's acting a little funny, I mean it's only been two years. :wall:
