I'm happy to announce I discovered my G. aureostriata in her hide today and a dry exuvium! I haven't seen her in ages, so I decided to take a peek and discovered she molted! The exuvium was really well intact so I was able to soften it up and examine it.

I'm so happy! I thought she was a male because she's been growing so fast! I keep her at room temp and I swear I don't powerfeed her. o_O I got her in January 2007 and she grew from a 1" sling to 4" now.

I've got a 1 1/2" sling that took around 7 months for its first molt o_O...*sigh* its going to be a LONG road. I wonder why yours molted so much? Especially since its female...

We've got a lady that's been growing at about the same rate. We got her as a 2 incher back in January, and she's about 5 inches now... incredible... and she's gorgeous!
