So i ordered a pair of A. sp "new river" and i was rehousing the female. Put her deli cup inside the large KK and then i put the top on the KK and took tongs to remove the lid of the deli cup. Lid comes off... now for that top layer of paper towel.... paper towel coming off... BAM! Fangs?!?! Orange legs?!?!!! I thought for SURE reptist screwed up and sent me an OBT, haha very funny...not! This girl was MAD as hell whatever she was and all i could see was orange. Finally i got the top off and yep, it was A. sp "new river". Glad i treated it like a defensive species seeing how i knew little about them. I know its really not a defensive species though. She much more calmed down now, must not have been happy bout being in a deli cup though
. My girlfriend was sitting there when i took that top off and when she lunged with fangs my girlfriend was like lightning, up off the couch lol. God speed....
Anyways the male was so much easier to work with. He absolutely REFUSED to leave the deli cup. I ended up just leaving it in there, he will leave when hes ready lol. This is such a beautiful species, never seen these colors on a native species before.
Cheers!
Oh yea---- pics coming when everything gets settled in! I like to leave them in the dark for a day or two to let them settle in before i go in there flashing up a storm with my camera lol.
