Well up until this weekend my cohabitat for one female P. imperator and one H. longimanus came to a rather gruesome end.
After about 6 months of harmonious co-existence in a ten gallon, the two post-gravid females apparently went crazy and entered Deathmatch. Naturally, Riki (Emp), completely erradicated the poor Gohma (Asian Forest) who only measured up to about half the size.
They did so well together that I'd almost gotten comfortable with the two being in there together... now I feel absolutely horrible for pitching little Gohma, my first captive-bred spec, a horribly gruesome death at the hands of a rediculously over-powering Emperor.
Funeral is tomorrow... 6ish pm....
