It seems the solution to keeping the cats from bothering the tarantulas was just to leave the cricket bin on the floor 🤣

If any one else is gonna do this make sure your cricket bin or whatever you doesn’t have a mesh screen because my cat will come and try to sharpen her claws on that thing and the last thing you want is giant hole with crickets jumping around your house

Clarification: I was in fact joking, the cats are still only allowed in that room with adult supervision. Before anyone asks, the preschooler is also only allowed in that room with adult supervision.

The funniest part was that the cat actually just sat there for about 10 minutes like she was watching a show on TV then decided to go back to the other room and lie down again 🤣

Great idea but...
As someone who owns critters and cats- that’s not a solution
Yup. Just instigates and invites in the long run. Post Gecko poopee frying a motherboard in a computer it was great, hunt all the gecks in the house you want. Now the fiendish feline greets us in the morning with "How many reptile, rodent and avian carcasses do you want scattered around the house today?"
