It truly is an addiction.

I sold all of my spiders a couple months back, thinking I was going into the military (Coast Guard). I was pretty much to the point that all I had to do was sign the line and I'd be shipped off.

Well, I went on vacation and ended up having second thoughts. I've decided to hold off (Permanently or Temporary, I'm not sure.) until later.

So anyway, one day I just decided to show off a few of the more colorful species by using pics on Swift's site. (I wish all of the online dealers would put pictures of all of their spiders on their site. Quite a few do, but far from all.)

And I started to miss my old spiders. I never thought I'd actually miss a spider, but..well...I did.

So when I got back, I tried to resist. I failed. I gave in.

I went from zero to fourteen in less than a week. And more on the way.

Oh well.

(I guess there wasn't much point to this post :p) I was going to post pictures, but I can't find my digital camera :p

national guard eh?
hmmmm...
why not just step it up a notch and go all out?
make a career out of it and join the airborne and be a paratrooper in the Army.

I think that's what I'm gonna do if i don't find anything that strikes my attention, but then again I'm only 15..lol

sorry to get off topic...but yeah, it is an addiction, lol.

Yeah they can be addictive. My wife wouldn't let me get any T's until I transferred to shore duty (I'm in the Navy) so she wouldn't have to deal with them. I transferred to shore duty and two months later I was already up to 24 spiders! Good luck in whatever you decide. Even if you don't make it a career like me, the military is a great start. They just brought in a detachment of 100 Coast Guard personnel here in St. Marys, GA, so who knows maybe you'll get stationed here (warm, sunny, friendly community, and low cost of living definately make this a great duty station).:)

Wow, from 0 to 14+ in a week?

They are addicting, it took me a year or so to go from from 1 to 25, and there are many more I would still like to have.

Well, I had 14 in one order (One died) and picked up a pinktoe yesterday (I have three of the damned things now!)

I really do want to go for it, but I think I'm far too shy for basic -- Last time we went swimming with family, I refused to do it because I hate taking my shirt off :p Although it's different when I don't have a choice.

That and they kept asking for medical records from my physical (I used to get headaches 4 - 6 times a week w/ vomiting when I was between the ages of 3 - 13) so..I gave up and went on vacation.

Oh yeah, it's an addiction...Trying to keep it on topic! :p
