Looks like Cuckoo Wasp to me. Sorry, I don't know the scientific name.

Hi

It is a parasitic wasp - family Chrysidae. Known as Jewel Wasps or Goldwasps. Even with a specimen some species/species groups are very difficult to identify. A parasite of solitary bees and/or wasps.

I like the color on it. It is definitely a mean-looking wasp.

Do Cuckoo Wasps fall into the Jewel Wasp/Goldwasp family, because I'm pretty convinced that's what it is. I was just wondering.

Edit: I just found out that they do fall into that family (Chrysididae).

Yeah, those three simple eyes are called "ocelli." I believe they're simply photoreceptors, detecting only light. Do you see those wasps frequently? They're really cool! Good find!
