Anyone that handles their Avics, LOL!!!!! Once I was showing my daughter my versi. That little thing raised her butt up and shot my daughter right in the eye. She didn't think it was so funny, but my son and I were rolling on the floor (after putting Jezebel back, of course )!!!!

It happened to my 9yr old son last week with a terrestrial..

Calls me from the room and says "Ma I think you need to come see this".. had no idea what had happened.. Figured it out by the time I was actually in his room.. hehehe..

At first i thought you said popped and i thought that really would suck, but i guess pooped is better then popped.
I have been hot at by my avic avic multiple times, but never been directly hit, only a bit from spray on my leg. Just watch for any aiming with their abdomen then you can tell if its comming.

My avic versis have newer shot any at me though.

Both my unknown species of Aphonopelmas have crapped on me during handling. I wonder what the story is on that? And why sometimes tarantulas crap in their water dishes?

Shoot, I am new to the hobby and just got 5 T's on 12-17-09. They are my first T's ever and as I was unpacking them from their vials and putting them in their cages, the Versicolor scared the crap out of me. Naturally being new to the hobby and them being my first T's, I had no idea what the Versicolor was doing at first. It leaned forward on my hand (which lead me to believe I was about to be bitten) and stuck it's butt way high in the air. At this point, I was just thinking "hurry up and get it over with, so I know what it feels like". But instead I saw s stream of crap come flying out it's butt as if it was a squirt gun and hit my finger with it. Needless to say, I was relieved to see that's what the little bugger (1") had planned all along. Sure am glad I didn't take a bite on my first day of owning a Tarantula. I can handle the poop. I get pooped on all the time by wild snakes when I go snake hunting.

I got popped on twice total thus far. Lilith (Avic Azuraklassi ~2") got my left hand while I held her in my right. She then jumped on that hand as if exclaiming 'Lookie what I did!'. Skeeter (Avic Versi ~1.5") hit me with on the leg with a stream as I tried to put him back into his cage needless to say, i kept him out awhile longer to let him play. After that, he was fine going back inside without a fuss.. he was not named thusly until that day (being the first to poop-shoot at me).

Also: I think the thread should be called 'The Poop-shoot' rather than poop report

Here is the shot that got me shot in the face and hand. LOL. I was on the floor snapping pictures and had no more leaned in for a better shot said I have never seen one shoot poo when bam she got me and the camera.
