Israeli lizard of some sort

Friend of mine just got back from a trip to Israel and photographed this little guy. She insists its not a gecko but it looks pretty damn well like one to me, down to the regrown tail.

Just wanted to share, but if anyone can ID it that would be great


Looks like a Mediterranean Gecko (Hemidactylus turcicus) maybe?

Yeah, it´s a gecko. I think it´s of the Hemidactylus genus, but i´m not sure if it is a H. turcicus.
