Anyone know a good species of isopods to add to enclosures? There’s so many.

The smallest ones.

As @viper69 mentioned, the big ones will become a nice snack for your T, from experience...

Small ones that are "safe" to use:

Trichorhina tomentosa
Porcellio laevis
Porcellio pruinosus.

Scabers tend to be more agressives with their food source, so I´d discard them unless your T and the enclosures are big enough.

Also keep in mind that isopods like any other living animals need a constant food source, decaying matter, critters etc so make sure they have this sorted out or your T could become their next target (in very specific situations)

🤣 that’s pretty funny but yes for a snack and cleaning crew.

Awesome thank you. Yes I’m thinking of just adding a few to my bigger enclosures. They have plants in there and leaf litter. I could maybe drop some food in there couple times a week over night. We’ll see if I even do it. Just an idea. All my enclosures get springtails.

You can feed them with some fish flakes.

I give them fish flakes once in a while, usually Ts leftovers and decaying matter is enough to keep them well fed
