I’m still fairly new to isopod keeping, and my colony has been doing good so far (Powder Blues) but feel free to drop any random tips and tricks if you’ve got any, i love these pretty guys.

I wanted to add some live plants, as they only really have a piece of driftwood, 2 cork wood, and a little spider wood piece to climb on and hide around.

I found some small plants in the terrarium section, called

Ruffles Fern (nephrolepis exaltata)

Rabbits Foot Fern (Davallia Fejeensis)

Does anyone know if these are safe for my pods? Thanks :)

Any pictures of your set up?
Currently they’re in a 45x30x30cm tank, coco-coir substrate (highest point 8cm and lowest 3cm) covered with sphagnum moss and a variety of ‘pod leaf litter mixes. They’ve got whole cuttlefish and powdered cuttlefish, currently eating some steamed brocolli and cauliflower, and working through a whole grasshopper.
Heat mat on the left, and the right side gets misted.
20degrees celsius, and 80-90% humidity range.

They tend to huddle around the heat mat sometimes, (low watts so i don’t think i need to worry about them burning themselves), are they cold? Should I be implementing more heat sources?

There’s also a mould on this wood, but it seems to be dying out as the springtails eat through it. Please lmk if this needs to be treated!

Any and all feedback is appreciated and will be implemented! I only want the best for them :)
