Yep, found this one on the road while on patrol this morning. A nice, big, healthy female Western
Banded Gecko (Coleonyx variegatus). So what about Leos and Cresties (although I love them too). This is the Gecko to get. Enjoy.

Yes, I enjoy them as well & have caught a few (then released) here in Temecula. Also the night snakes are a neat find as well.

Yeah, I failed to mention that. This one, as well as all the others I have come across have been released. I now take pics and post them on naherps.com for data study. It is something I have wanted to do for a long time but did not have the proper camera. And YES, Night Snakes are a BIG treat. I found 3 last season and hope to find and take pics of more this season.

super, super cute! i wish we had these where I live... all we get are alligator lizards and western fence lizards. I love these little guys.

Gator lizards

I enjoy our alligator lizards as well. Some of their tails can get crazy loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong. Good size little beasts:razz:

When I used to live in San Clemente, I had a family of Alligator Lizards living in my yard. I miss them. We don't have them out here
