Is this mushroom possibly deadly to a tarantula?

Greetings.

Recently, a little mushroom bloom has spread across a few of my bioactive enclosures, and while most didn't really bother me, there was one that looked quite weird to me.
You see, I have seen this happen time and time again, usually seeming to be oyster mushrooms that last a day or two, as well as just either being beige or white, but there was one recently that was just purple.
It grew into purplish with yellowish white exterior, and when it matured, left a lot of orange spores behind, I assume.
I wonder if this dust might be detrimental to my tarantula?
For specifics, this is from my Theraphosa apophysis enclosure.

Absolutely you should eat it!!! Wait that't not the question... 😂😂😂

They are harmless to your T, having a mushroom means that your substrate is healthy, so you don't have anything to worry about.

I also have mushrooms from time to time!

Hah!

I was just confused since this specific one left orange dust, the spores I assume, around and it was purple, this is the first time I've seen these in my enclosures.

So you know the rest of us see that as white don't you? Did you breath the spores?

Just kidding. As far as you know. ;)

Nope! it’s perfectky safe and as @Dorifto brings up it’s just means your soil is alive as it should be and is cycling nutrients. Soils are living entities and a soil with no fungi growth is cause for alarm outside!

Be careful not to breath in the spores though. Some types of fungi have spores that are very harmful to human lungs. When I took my mycology courses in University we always had to look at the spores in a well ventilated area.

Hmm, just curious since every other mushroom I've had in my bioactive were either pale white or beige, never purple.

That didn't really bother me too much (well, besides the color), it's the orange dust spores it left behind. Is this deadly to the tarantula, which segues into...

So do I remove or try to disinfect all that orange coloration on the soil? since that could be harmful if the tarantula breathed it in.

No. Just no. Human lungs and a human immune system can deal just fine with any fungal spores. You need to be severely immunocompromised or be exposed to large amounts of spores over a long period of time for them to affect you.

@TheDarkAbyss - You never disinfect anything in your tarantula enclosure unless you want to create a really unhealthy environment. And spores cannot harm your tarantula's lung ever - that's a complete myth. How do you think a tarantula survives in a tropical rain forrest with all those fungal spores around??

No you don’t need to, they were giving you bad information. It’s not going to be harmful for you or it to breathe it in.

That's a type of mushroom I never see in my enclosure..
Maybe try putting it in stew?
