Last time both of my jumping spiders molted on the same day. They molted on june 8th. They are both phiddipus regius are now 4th instar.
They seem tired and slow and often chill in their hammocks. But they also come out frequently to just slowly walk around.
Its been like this since Monday. They were like this before they molted though.
They come out for a little and slowly move around the enclosure. Usually they’re more quick and interested in exploring outside their enclosure when I open it up to mist or feed them. Now they’re more reclusive. Their colors have also darkened/dulled. A few days ago one of them had 1 fruit fly left in their enclosure and they smacked it away which I found amusing. I removed it after seeing that, of course. I heard tarantulas do that in pre molt as well.
Is this pre molt behavior? I heard them getting slower is normal for jumping spiders in pre molt.
