Looks like a camponotus sp. Can’t figure out which one. I was wondering if you could start a colony with this but it looks like you need males. I’ll just release her
I’ve never heard of needing males If she’s wild caught. she has already pulled off her wings, usually meaning she has completed her nuptial flight. Am I missing something?

Yep, it is a queen and you don't need males. Once a princess ant has mated she tears off her wings. She only mates once in her whole life.

Just put her in a test tube about half filled with water stopped with a cotton ball:

Put her in and plug the opening with another cotton ball. Leave it somewhere dark and in a few weeks you should start seeing eggs.
