is this a failed egg?

I have a cat faced orb weaver I’ve been keeping in captivity, quite successfully actually, and I went to remove her egg case that she laid recently. Only problem is, I think she missed her nest whilst laying said eggs.

She also has this strange spot on the side of her abdomen now.

Also, I know her rear leg is damaged. She is old and becoming a lot more clumsy when climbing. Has obviously taken a fall or two since laying the egg.

She hasn’t webbed since laying her eggs, but today I successfully tong fed her a large fly. So thats cool. May make it to spring after all. But will the babies? :/
