is there anyway possible to save paralized spiders?

I've always cracked open the tombs of spiders who had an unfortunate run in with a mud wasp and met thier doom to it's paralizing sting.

it makes me really sad, because the wasp somehow manages to always find some really cool white and yellow spiders along with many others I have never seen.

I always wonder if there is anything to save them. I have a test tube right now that I collected a little while ago with prolly 35 spiders, they seem to be lifeless at this point, but I have seen some still twitching.

well, if anyone ever wants to start a spider collection (of dead spiders) this is the best way I know of to get them without hurting yourself or the spiders.

I think I'm going to start taking pictures of new spiders I find, and see if I can identify them.

Most Aculeate wasps paralyse the spider permanently, the spider is alive but motionless while the wasp larva is sucking it. Some few Pompilid wasps paralyse wolf spiders only temporarely, lay an egg on the spiders abdomen, and the spider recovers after a while, runs around for some time but finally finds a sheltered place to die in. Here the wasp larva will suck the spider dry, build a cocoon and pupate.
Most paralysed spiders which you find will probably not recover. But give it a try and let us know if some wake up. May be they will wake up if they have no sucking larva taking all their energy.
