Is p. Metallica in pre molt?

It hasn't eaten since Jul 19th can someone tell me if its in pre molt its been two weeks now and not a single web has been made.

haha.. maybe , maybe not is a great answer.

i would say it is likely tho.. between refusal of food, and its over all dingy coloring id say a molt is coming. That sling is still small, so dont be surprised if you dont see the "dirt curtain". it will probably go behind the slab or in its burrow (assuming it has one.. most poeci slings do) and web it up the same night it molts, or very close to it

Hard to say mine never refuses food and never really gets darker just keep offering food on ur regular schedule feelings a wait...

I got this little one a couple days prior to it stopped eating. I was told the p. Metallicas lose their stickiness from feet when in pre molt. Is this true? And this little one has not made a burrow to hide.

I noticed when mine was in pre-molt it had a hard time climbing.

Got home from work this evening and this little one had molted... Yay.. I say it got at least a 1/4 of an inch bigger. Can't wait to see its true colors when it gets bigger.

congrats.. post some pics :) ive still never owned one of this sp. of poeci, and always drool over pics of them freshly molted

I know colors are not all there because still very small but already looking nice.
