Hello! Sorry if this thread seems dumb but this is my first tarantula sling (1/4 sized brachyphelma smithi) and I've noticed that about 2 weeks ago after i moved it to a new enclosure it has stopped eating and refused to take food i leave in the enclosure. It ate fine in the previous one i bought it in but has since stopped, should i continue to feed it or wait it out? Attached is a current pic of the sling

Not a dumb question. It looks like premolt to me. Make sure water is available and wait it out.

Thank you so much for the reply! I have a bottle cap with water just off screen, i get overly worried sometimes but I'll wait it out. Thanks again!!

No problem. I think all new keepers go through that. I know I did. It’s perfectly natural. 😊

It’s plump enough that it doesn’t need to eat any more until we’ll after it molts. Plump tarantulas don’t need food.

it will molt when it’s ready to, likely not before that. Until then wait!
