Is my new friend a female or male?

I've had two different opinions on the gender, and I'm not good at telling myself. Also, should I fill in the holes in the cork bark? He/She is currently hiding in one. 20230918_124434.jpg 20230918_132348.jpg 20230921_131940.jpg 20230922_053217.jpg

Do you happen to know the species? It looks like it may be a male just from the pedipalps in pic 2. I could easy be wrong but I am strongly leaning towards male. Gorgeous little pal either way.

I would leave the cork bark holes, they offer him a place to hide if he feels threatened, ultimately making him feel more comfortable. Honestly up to you though.

He's a bold/audax. He did leave that hole he was in while I was at work for the day, and now is making a little web on the top of the enclosure.

I did see that he did web in that hole though, but it doesn't look like it goes any deeper so I'll just keep it as is.

I do have a male adult regal as well, do you think having their enclosures next to each other could bother them?

It's immature, you'll find out sex in a molt or two.

Unless you got the previous molt to look at under a microscope?
