Is my millipede dead or molting?

I just checked on my millipede, its enclosure was misted a couple days ago and was still slightly moist, I found it under some of the soil and figured he was molting. I decided to mist his enclosure again. It is very stiff and dry, and I haven’t seen it move once since checking on him 10 minutes ago. There’s no smell or anything else out of the ordinary.
