Is my jumping spider back in pre molt after 14-15 days?

My Phiddipus regius jumping spider has built a very thick hammock yet again and but she molted 15 days ago. Usually it’s every 3-4 weeks they go back into a pre molt period.

Has anyone else had this happen? I mean I’m cool with it but I’ve never had it happen this soon lol. Could it be because I’m feeding her larger prey (house flies) so she gets more nutrients and sends her body in a pre molt period faster?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm far from an expert on jumpers, but my little P. audax sling molted every 12 days for the first 2 months I had it. It was a tiny little sling, though (really it still is, just not AS tiny), so if yours is mature that would be unusual. Any chance it's getting ready to make an egg sack (was it wild caught)?

No she is captive bred and I’ve had her since 2-3rd instar. She is around 5-6instar now.

Your assumption that it's due to the larger prey items sounds accurate, then - she may just be fat and happy and in for a long premolt!

I agree, I have a regal sling that I raised and it went into premolt again right after it molted around 12-13 days before. It can definitely happen!

Well at that stage, they are really growing! So yes it could be, simply because they can take down larger meals.

I actually have experience with this. I posted the other day about how my little audax molted right after I caught her (this was about 20 days ago). I looked into her hammock today and saw what can only be another molted skin. That is crazy how fast they molt!
