I saw his tail out flat and legs curled weird. Ive had him for a few weeks and hes been walking around his enclosure alot since I got him. He recently started doing this today so im a little worried. I fed him a few super worms 2 days ago and I havent dropped his enclosure or moved anything around or picked him up so im a little worried.

Your terrarium is too dry. Replace that terrible substrate with 4"-6" crushed coconut coir kept 100% moist (clumpy, drippy). Always keep the waterdish full. Asian Forest Scorpions and Emperor scorpions have a very high transpiration rate (water loss rate). If kept too dry they dehydrate and perish before too long. The scorpion may be fine but it is hovering near the waterdish and a tail laid completely prone can be a sign of dying (that doesn't mean that it is). But I would be alittle concerned especially if refuses to move at all.

Just based on your pictures looking at the top of his abdomen and the sides of his abdomen he looks kind of fat maybe getting ready to molt? Looks just fine but I would agree with outpost31survivor needs lots of moisture, and lots of fresh water. Good luck.

He seems alright now but im gonna get new substrait for him from what the other 2 replies said just incase. I saw some other people mixed the substrait with other stuff like leaves and small bits of bark together and thouvht it would be fine.

I spray his enclosure once a day with a spray bottle, what would you recommend I do to keep his substrait moist? Im new to keeping one and any advice would be amazing!

Pour water directly onto the substrate. Misting is not an efficient way to achieve proper moisture.

I would like the water dish overflow by three to four times the amount that fits in his dish once to three times a week or really enough to keep it very wet but not muddy or flooded, you want it to look pretty dark compared to the way it looks when dry, here's a video of my P. Metallicas tararium to give you an Idea of how I kept my asian forest scorpion. He loved his little home. Also don't be afraid to miss the glass or plastic on the terrarium as well and stay like relative humidity in the air quite a bit.

Much appreciated! Ill keep your enclosure in mind when moistening the substrait to better levels, thank you!
