Hi, so my jumping spider (Servaea incana) Chester leaves a lot of silk on my hands when I handle him, is this normal jumping spider behaviour?
I'm more used to wolf spiders so sorry if this is obvious to other jumping spider owners.
I'm just worried if it takes a lot of energy to make silk. He doesn't seem distressed when I handle him I'm just concerned for my baby :(

its a dragline, so if they slip or fall or need to jump, they will have a line of safety. its totally normal, in fact if they dont, you might be able to assume something is wrong or the spider is elderly, and not being able to produce silk anymore,
