Is apple cider ok for ants? I have ant camponotus pennsylvanicus colony. Is it okay to feed them apple cider?

I know the internet says apple cider vinegar is bad and says nothing about apple cider lol. I guess I'd better not risk it.

Test it with a few ants. It's just sugar and water, but does have a caveat in the form of an enzyme as well as being slightly acidic.. The ants are probably the best judge of if that will bother them.

I checked, they hate it and ran away lol. I guess I know not to do that.
I tested various dilutions of acetic acid, what apple cider turns into, up to glacial as an ant deterrent. The idea being it is competitive with their formic acid. They avoided it, then found work arounds in a matter of a few hours.
