Ironclad beetle. Can I feed him beetle jelly?

Hey, this is my first time posting here. I'm new to beetle-keeping. I recently got an ironclad beetle, specifically a Zopherus Chilensis. He's a cool little guy, but I'm having a hard time finding info about his diet. As far as I know, I can feed him bark with lichens on it and some mushrooms, which is what I've been feeding him, and I think he's alright with that. But if anyone has more advice on what to feed him I would also appreciate it a lot.
I was wondering if I could feed him beetle jelly. Since they eat mostly fungi and decaying plant matter (please correct me if they don't), and beetle jelly is mostly made out of fruits and sugar (which I don't think is in their diet), would it be harmful to give him jelly? Would it be okay to only feed him beetle jelly (or at least feed him MAINLY beetle jelly)?
And, if I can, which flavour would be best for him?

You'd have to start a specific colony of fungus in rotting wood for the larva. If they are local that may be easy. Try keeping them similar to millipedes I guess. The adult beetles go for long periods without food.

Thanks dude. Do you think I can feed an adult beetle some jelly? If he's already grown, can I switch to jelly or would he starve if I only fed him that?

You could absolutely try jelly, let us know how it goes. I'd do some research on the exact species you got and try to find out which fungus it eats just in case they don't take to the jelly.
