I love Iridopelma hirsutum and had the pleasure of raising one from a spiderling several years ago. I have another one on the way and have been doing some reading up on them. Aside from finding an old pic I took of my hirsutum 8 years ago posted on here under my old username (it's my avatar now) I have come across several discussions and theories as to whether the hirsutum and Recife are the same species or not. It seems the Recifes are more bluish as babies and darker as adults but I am going by pictures and descriptions. Has anyone here had experience with both of these by which they can compare the two. I so want to get a Recife so I can compare for myself but I really can't right now so please, let me live vicariously through those who have experience with both.
