Our I. hirsutum came out of her web den a week and a half after a molt. She was nice enough to hold still for the photo and not try to bite me.

That is an amazing T by the way A-Punks! Can't get over the abdominal markings on that species. You are very lucky to have that girl....and I'm jealous. ;)

Kewl looking critter! My first thought on seeing the pic was that it looked like an orange Avicularia of some kind too. what's the common name of those, if they have one? I've never seen one before.

Yeah they are aggressive but manageable. She goes into threat display very easy but blow on her a little and she complies.


Telson: Their common name is Ribbed Tree spider

I've got a couple 1/4" slings.They're nothing color wise as the adults.They're very colorful as slings sporting cool chevrons on their abdomens.I'm looking forward to rearing these slings up.Feisty buggers even at their small size,tackling large pinheads with ease.Great pics A-punks....peace..
