Introducing Rally the ferret

I just picked up this adorable little dude today. His name is Rally, and he's 12 weeks old. Isn't he adorable?

And his ginormous cage that was a real pain to put together:

Took some more pictures of him out and about. The cat is not amused, she's scared. She was fine until he jumped at her, and that was all it took. After that she just took off whenever he approached her.
I've got a few things that need to be picked up tomorrow, my nephew's toys are quite the temptation, especially the Lincoln Logs!

that really make me want to move, we can't have ferrets in cali, but in colorado where my sister lives you can. guess you went all out when you got that cage...

LOL yeah I did. I didn't buy the biggest cage I could afford, I bought the biggest cage I could find! It's 36x24x48, this thing is huge!

yet another pet I cannot legally keep in california.........I was recently offered two ferrets by of all people, an animal control officer! (I declined)

LOL, my cat is the same way too, he would be really scared and anoyed if I own a ferret.

This little guy is just so awesome! He's a bit nippy, but we're working on that. He's just a baby, so it's pretty much expected. He's particularly fond of toes! He's been out and about playing for about 5 hours now, ever since I got home from work. He fell asleep next to my refrigerator for a while, but I picked him up and he cuddled with me on the couch for about an hour. At this moment he's stashing all his toys in a corner of my dining room. It's between my bookcase and the wall. I have a blanket stand with some throw blankets on it that makes it nice and private. He's turning it into his own special hiding spot. He hasn't even had any accidents yet, he always goes back to the litterbox in his cage when he's gotta potty. Such a good boy!

Ferrets are so cute, and so much fun. Wish I would of taken my brother's when he was getting rid of them.

he's darling! I know I already told you this, but it's so funny I"m going to repost it. My sister used to have a ferret named Nigel that she dressed up in doll clothes
The poor thing was probably in a perpetual state of humiliation!
They are really good pets, have a blast with your guy!

Thats so cute. I heard if a ferret bites into you really hard, they wont let go until you run them under cold water. Is that true? I am studying to be a veterinary assistant and that was in one of my lessons. I really want one but their not only illegal here (who cares, everything I have is illegal) but I also have two jealous dogs that would probobly hurt it.

I didn't hear the bell on his collar ringing, so I knew he was sleeping. Found him curled up on the blanket in his cage. I don't leave the collar on him unless he's out and about, but I just didn't have the heart to wake him up to remove it. I'll do it before I go to bed just to be sure he doesn't strangle himself.

New pics taken today.

This is one of my cat's toys I have hung on the doorknob. Rally's been going nuts for it all night. This thing beeps when you squeeze it, and Rally got it to beep and it scared him. He took off running like a bat out of hell. Shoot, it scared me too! I haven't heard that thing beep in months!

Cleaning the cats ears? Sassy tolerated his little face in her ear for a few minutes, then she got annoyed and left.
