Intriguing spider on eBay

These spiders are everything but uncommon!
It is from the Thomisidae family, perhaps Misumena vatia.
They vary in colour from white to yellow and pink, depending on the species of flower they have chosen as their home.

the common name escapes me, but it is a nice looking crab spider. though, shouldn't it be shipped though some sort of online bidding area for inverts or something? is there even one of those? i've only seen one for fish and one for reptiles.

what you have there is a species of orb weaver; this is a crab. (not the crustacean, nor the insect)

I've seen those in big white flowers around here in Maine. They have a common name of Crab Spider I think and they are pretty common. No rarity there unless perhaps you're on the galapagos islands....
