I will start to travel more in the near future and I have friends in other parts of the world. I am curious regarding laws of shipping spiders back to the USA. What do I need to know and what can I get away with?

This is simply a pre-emptive reminder that there is to be no discussion condoning illegal activities per the rules.

Thanks.

Thanks BileDrunk and understood.

So no info (legal) regarding how you collectors get your foreign species?
I have a friend in S. Africa for example. Is there any legal method for him to send me egg sacks or spiders?

i am not up on my US law, but i know that arachnids are far easier to ship than many other inverts. in canada for example they just need a permit and insepction and that is more or less it. Check fish and wildlife, and customs. dont give out any of your info though, the less they know about you the better.

What port will they be entering the US through, what species will you have, how many, what is their purpose, and what are the countries of origin? Get back to me with that information via PM and I will tell you how to proceed.
