There was a good read somewhere on roaches eating unhealthy live shorter or produce less offspring. This was for captive roaches. If i can find the article i'll post it.

That is interesting, certainly provides a good reason to avoid feeding them medicated chick mash or any other possibly antibiotic containing stuff.
Makes me wonder if some of those unexplained colony dies offs could be linked to antibiotics...
